According to EUROPEAN FEDERATION OF EMPLOYEE SHARE OWNERSHIP (EFES) a study funded by the European Commission enlightened the fact that 89% of 2,000 European Groups (29 millions employees) have employee share ownership.
In 2006, the Top 100 European companies represent €105 billion held by employees, meaning an average of 3.02% of companies' capitalisation; for 8.401.799 employees, this is an average of €12.496 per employee.
